The Threat Is There (Open)

"Funny too that the Turian and Asari routes are almost void of heavy pirate traffic unlike our own. . . Granted the Turian pirates have pretty much been rounded up by the Bastard himself. Most pirates are too afraid of the Twi'lek dreadnought that scouts that sector too," she shook her head, "the Twi'lek made themselves known and the power of their ship and they don't get bothered by such things. Their leadership orders the ship to actually scout. I guess I'm starting to miss being able to hunt pirates board my old ship. I just hope it's getting used to its full potential."

[Admiral James Norrington]

"The aliens are taking the pirates down while we humans are sticking down here waiting for those higher ups to make a decision," James said in disbelief shaking his head, "they said that they want to prove themselves to be superior to the aliens yet we're not doing this simple thing. Most likely we're the laughing stock of the entire galaxy on this regard, it infuriates me that they will not see that when it's common knowledge among us officers. I'm starting to miss out being a mere commander...at least then I would have been able to go around the galaxy and shoot down the pirates not that I'm saying I'm not grateful of being an Admiral, on the contrary it gives me more power to destroy the pirates, yet at the same time it does restrict me."

"Welcome to the political side of the military," Alexis said tapping her boot against the floor a couple times, "The consort of the Asari has predicted by ten years the human council will be no more and we'll have a multiracial council based off the extremes of every powerful race that owns a large section of Citadel space. The way it's looking, the EAF wont be the Citadel's prime army anymore, it'll be a mixed alien human army. Hell, maybe then the pirates will back off. Doubt it."

[Admiral James Norrington]

"Though I have nothing against the aliens I cringe at the thought that the EAF will be disregarded as nothing more than a relic, my father was an EAF officer and he woudl be appaled at what it has become if he was here. I swear it upon the Norrington name that I will do anything to ensure that we humans remain at the top, and by top I simply mean that we are on top of every issue and not have to deal with the aliens rampaging through our political and economic systems like knife through butter," James said gripping the railing hard, "do you agree Fleet Admiral? Do you agree that we will need to make changes around here in order to protect our home?"

[Jess]

"No, we just need a change of council or more freedom in fleet movements. That's about it. We have the power we have the military, now all we need is the ability to move it. The biggest thing is, two of the four councilors are tools and the other two call the shots and neither one of those two are military so they're trying to babble through the idea of peace creating more peace," she gritted her teeth a bit, "one day this place is going to get attacked and the peace is going to change, then we'll see how gungho the council can be. Until then... We have to wait and see."

[Admiral James Norrington]

"Which is why I dislike politics, the military should be separate from the hands of the council. An independent military, a military that can respond in an instant without interference from those old fools, peace is a mere illusion. My father always used to say that there is no eternal peace, there is only a lull...a soft peace and then it is broken by the fires of war and we have to be there to snuff them out before they claim any lives," James said with zeal. "I fear for the day the Citadel is attacked because although it may allow the council to finally see the folly of their ways we must sacrifice lives in order to do so...but on that day we will stand together and we will show them what needs to be done."

[Jess]

"Hopefully that day comes when the TITAN Leviathan is completed, not to say the Colossus can't handle an attack, I'm just ancy to see the new EAF weapon," she paused, "apparently an unknown vessel about 5 kilometers attacked Earth a couple days ago, Guardian 113 reported in on it, it got repelled by the Legion and Empire and the Empires Telikos Platforms. There's other reports of a huge vessel called Haven which is rumored to be about 7 kilometers. That one is unknown honestly, it drifts and only announces its coords to underground ships, other than that it's a market vessel, probably black market."

[Admiral James Norrington]

"Perfect...more enemies. While we sit here our enemies gather and preparing to attack us most likely," James muttered, "we will need to be on our guard, is there any possibility you can get me out of probation and back into space Fleet Admiral? The Sentinel is ready to move and we will take down any threats that exist around the place," James said turning to her.

[Jess]

"I don't know, I mean," she says rather sarcastically, "I am only the highest ranking officer in the fleet and the controller of the fleet under the Grand Admiral." She nodded at him, "You've got my orders to board your ship and return to duty when you feel ready. Brass will have to punish me for giving you contradicting orders, it wont fall back on you, and it wont hurt me any because Bekkit is on my side in this one and he answers only to the Council."

James could not hide his smile, "Thank you Fleet Admiral, I will leave post haste and resume my duties again," James said with a salute, "it was a pleasure talking to you perhaps one day we will be able to have our dreams realised," before he turned and left towards his ship eager to hunt the pirates once again and perhaps this time he won't leave any witnesses.

"Perhaps," she watched the Admiral turn heel and head for his ship, she knew what would happen next, she expected five generals five admirals and the council to breath down her neck, it didn't matter there was no reason to hold back a single ship when there was a pirate raid happening at the very second she stood at a gallery watching the stars. The council would soon find out how thin her patience was with this sit around and do nothing deal.
