Weapons:
Bat'Leth: The traditional weapon of the Klingons. A large crescent blade to be wielded one or two handed, with many stances and martial arts based around its design. Few deaths are more honorable and inevitable than facing a Bat'Leth master. Brech'na's is forged of Baakonite like many others, but has had hers treated with a magnetized coat of reflective chrome to allow it to deflect energy based attacks.
Mek'Leh: Carried as a side-arm and forged of Baakonite, the Mek'Leth (AKA Half-Bat'Leth) is a weapon used as both a parrying dagger and weapon. Unlike her Bat'Leth, Brech'na has not had this weapon treated with magnetic chrome and cannot use it to parry energy attacks. She hides it in a concealed sheath at her back.
Brech'Na's Lightsaber (Shown here, blade emitter facing downwards) Was built by her on Q'onos. She assembled it herself after completing her trials and graduating from Padawan to full Jedi Knight. The weapon creates a beam of refracted energy about eighty eight (88) centimeters long, keeping it contained within a condensed beam capable of cutting, burning and melting cleanly through flesh, metal, and stone alike. The weapon's power source is somewhat primitive and can only be activated for a minute at a time before needing an hour to recharge under its own power. This process can be sped up by connecting the lightsaber to an outside fuel source.
History:
Brech'na was born to the house of T'ang, a minor house but with good standings and strong alliances. She trained with her father among her brothers and sisters, learning the stories of Kahless the Unforgettable and the ways of the honorable klingon warrior. When she was still a child, strange visitors came from off world, visiting the family of T'ang's ancient home. They spoke respectfully of the family and its accomplishments, but said that out of all of them, the one they foresaw the most for was Brech'na herself. Her mother resisted but her father, an ambitious man, let the strangers take her daughter off world, to a secret planet where she was trained anew.
She resisted at first, the strangers learned Brech'na was quick with her teeth and her fists, but over time she stubbornly began to follow their ways. What was it to her? She was merely trading one training regimen for the other. Unlike the other children, all from different worlds, all alien to her, she was the only one who would stay up at night. She recited the tales of Kahless to herself as she stared at the black ceiling of the dorm set aside for 'younglings'. Her training among these strange robed people did not dull her true passions, her klingon heart. She saw the truth of her training though. She learned of the far off worlds under the Jedi's protection, of the many planets from which the Jedi are drawn.
As she neared the end of her days as a padawan, many years after she had left her homeworld of Q'onos, a longing overcame her. That stubbornness that the Jedi had sought to stamp out of her returned to her, full of fire and intent. She faced down her final challenges with ferocity, her masters were worried but impressed. She managed to keep the barbaric nature of her people in check, but harnessed it and used it along with her jedi training. When it came time, when she was a knight. Brech'na returned to Q'onos. her house was just as she had left it, small but proud. She told her father of her travels, and of her training. He marveled at he lightsaber and worked to complete her 'proper' training, as a Klingon. Within another few years she was done, her father was proud of the warrior he had raised, but he knew how she felt. Only a few years after returning home, but at the age of thirty-eight, she struck out again on a shuttle she had received from the Jedi while her family sung her praise.
During her travels, she found a ship resembling a massive fighter craft left destitute on a small planetoid. It took weeks to jury-rig enough parts from her shuttle into the wreck, but she got the thing operational, calling it the "big", as it was the first thing she could say about the cumbersome thing. In her years of travel, the Big has been restored and heavily modified, made remarkably maneuverable and the original slug-thrower weapons augmented with Klingon Disruptor turrets. Now Brech'na travels the galaxy, seeking worthy foes and high adventure!
