Faction Name: Alliance to Unite Earth
Dominant Species: Pony
Population Size: Three billion (Most repressed)
Government Type: Democracy
Faction Strengths: Willpower, connections, expanding galaxy and pirate activity means less attention to their existance, private organizations that allow for the construction and equipment of forces (See Wolf Goddess)
Faction Weaknesses: Not a strong government, does not control a planet or faction, is forced to function in secret until it can develop a full base of operations where the two mane Earth governments can not strike it down.
Goals: To rid the planet Earth of the two-country system that has been set in place and unify both it and the Citadel towards a common goal of mutual protection against forces that do not play nice with others.
Faction History: The Alliance to Restore the Republic is a group of unifiers from Earth that really got sick of the two-sided world they live in. They are made up of scientists, benevolent corporations, teens and young adults, and others who see the bigger picture of the world, that there's more to it than what's on the two hemispheres and that there's a bigger galaxy out there that makes the Earth look like nothing. Unfortunately, the two governments do not smile upon this. Many times have the governments cracked down on demonstrations that they did not approve of. Which pretty much was all of them.
However, in recent times, especially with the expansion to the Citadel and the discovery of new species in the galaxy, the Alliance had expanded much quicker, for ponies started to realize just how small a world it was to be caught up in petty business and national matters. The galaxy was too big to worry about a relatively speaking small scrap of dirt in space. Thanks to private corporations, a small fleet of vessels has been fielded, from old era Space Shuttles modified for high atmospheric combat to their new flagship, the Wolf Goddess, all under the guise of private industry. Eventually, with this ragtag group, they hope to reclaim their planet for what matters most, the safety of them and their new alien companions against a force that they know is right out there, waiting to strike.
Leaders: Unknown, currently Sherwood D. Ludwig for first-contact purposes only.
Branches:
Uniforms: Uniforms in the Alliance are piecemeal at best. Due to the shee lack of open existance, the faction has permitted any and all uniforms, so long as they are ID'd appropriately with a proper IFF (all attire has a company ID code to prevent theft, used by the Alliance to ID. Inspecific to the individual, but still there to ensure combat safety). Some other attire is permitted, so long as some form of ID is provided for those around the wearer. The Alliance is a rag-tag group, so to have a standing uniform would be very dangerous.
Standard Combat BDU
Naval Uniform
Pilot's Uniform (sans injury)
Flagship: Wolf Goddess
Type: Carrier-Frigate
Manufacturer: Human

Shields: Provides a constantly rotating shield system that shrouds the ship in a fire-deflectant manner. Deflects projectiles over absorbing the impact, absorbs energy-based fire
Hangar: Capable of holding two squadrons of eight fighters and / or bombers, currently outfitted with F-302 fighters
Point Defense: 32 Railguns, capable of direct fire and flak-generation modes (see Battlestar Galactica's defensive fire)

Crew: 200, Minimum of 4
Cargo capacity: Unknown, supposedly high as it is capable of holding two transport-sized craft in its bays and still function.

Branches:
- Financial: The real power behind the Alliance, these anonymous beneficiaries provide the funding that keeps the Alliance afloat. They range from the smallest sympathizers to the biggest donators, who pitch in with clothes, food, supplies, factories, and money to allow the Alliance to field troops, ships, and keep them going.
- Military: The outward force of the Alliance, though secretive in it's own way, the military branch is what makes people know the Alliance exists, rather than stay through word of mouth. It strikes the Western and Eastern powers on ranom fronts, making them realize their time is coming to and end for the betterment of the world. Recently, it has branched into naval forces, including the Wolf Goddess and other smaller vessels.
- Socio-Governmental: The voice of the Alliance, the socio-government are groups like the modern Red Cross, World Wildlife Foundation, and other various positive outreach groups that are the 'doorways' to the Alliance. With sway in both public and private locations, they are what brings in new recruits and spreads the Alliance through Earth.
- Espionage: The eyes and ears of the Alliance, they infiltrate through phyiscal and virtual mediums in the two governments and provide information about whatever the Alliance needs, be it from what's on tomorrow's dessert menu to where the leader of the government's spends his lonely weekends. They are what keep the Alliance from stumbling blind to it's doom.
